Research that stays in journals does not change policy. A central part of my work has always been translating modelling-based findings into actionable recommendations for policymakers — and then engaging directly with those policymakers to communicate findings clearly and credibly.
What I do
- Policy briefs and reports — writing evidence-based policy documents that translate complex modelling outputs into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences
- Government engagement — presenting research findings directly to ministries, regulatory bodies, parliamentary bodies, and multilateral institutions
- Strategic analysis — assessing the feasibility, implications, and trade-offs of specific policy options in India’s energy transition and climate commitments
- Stakeholder facilitation — moderating and participating in policy dialogues, expert panels, and multi-stakeholder consultations
Past work
- Presented findings on India’s ETS and net-zero targets at Niti Aayog
- Delivered a lecture on climate change at the Rajya Sabha (Upper House of Parliament) to interns of Members of Parliament
- Spoke at the Indian Energy Forum, the Carbon Markets Association of India, and multiple state-level dialogues in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh
- Engaged with UNDP, ICRIER, and the School of Public Policy on just transition and MSME decarbonisation
Who I work with
Government ministries, state governments, parliamentary bodies, multilateral organisations, think tanks, and civil society organisations working on energy and climate policy.
